Erythrocyte-driven ‘memory of tolerance’ demonstrated in recent journal publication

A team of scientists at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) led by our CSO, Prof. Jeffrey A. Hubbell, has described a parallel and supportive mechanism of the Anokion erythrocyte-binding technology whereby regulatory T cells are induced in mice to provide a lasting, antigen-specific “memory of tolerance”. These exciting results, recently published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Scientific Reports, substantially expand our mechanistic insight into Anokion’s technology and further strengthen its utility in the treatment of autoimmune diseases and in the development of next-generation biologics with reduced immunogenicity.
